Gold Farming WOW: “Pool of Fire Schools”
The easiest “Gold Farming on WOW way” is by fishing in Pool of Fire schools. These pools are only found in two Cataclysm zones with lava. The first spot is in Mount Hyjal inside the fiery lava pools next to Sulfuron Spire. The second spot is in Twilight Highlands within the lava pools at Cannon’s Inferno.
This area is hard to find on the map, so I have included a picture. The Pool of Fire look like rings of fire on the water, but they is somewhat easy to miss. They tend to blend in very well with the other lava effects. Keep in mind there is no longer any fishing skill requirements, so anyonethat has trained fishing can farm for these! Not many players know regarding these changes to fishing, thus take advantage of this. From the beginning, many professions want LARGE quantities of Volatile Fire. You will be able to provide a good amount of them and laugh your way to the bank.
The Pool of Fire appear to respawn regarding every 5-15 minutes and are NOT linked to any kind of other fishing schools in the area. Being the just player fishing these pools, in 30 minutes I was able to gather regarding 65 Volatile Fire. Yes 65! Can you imagine how much gold this is going to make We!? Don’t try fishing Open Water here. You will get junk items regardless of the talent level. When you fish out the pools, feel free to invest the rest of the time killing the Enslaved Infernos in this area. The drop rate is very decent on the mobs too. Keep in mind though as soon as a Pool of Fire spawns, immediately get back to fishing. The Volatile Fire drop rate with fishing is a great deal a lot higher than killing the mobs.
